New Coach at Dandenong
ยท Michael Findlay
Dandenong Cricket Club has appointed Paul Hill as Senior Coach for the Women's Programme for a minimum of two seasons.
Hill brings substantial coaching experience from his previous roles at Springvale South and Coomoora in the Dandenong District Competition, where he oversaw multiple premierships across senior grades during approximately ten years of coaching.
His playing background includes over 100 first-eleven games with Noble Park at sub-district level and involvement with a leading Turf 1 team in the DDCA. An accomplished wicketkeeper and batsman, he anticipates focusing on coaching without playing commitments.
Professionally, Hill serves as an Assistant Principal at a local primary school, with a Physical Education foundation and a strong appreciation for the benefits of sports participation.
On his objectives, Hill said the girls are keen and eager to improve, and that he wants to share his knowledge and help them understand all aspects of the game while building the team's culture.
Michael Findlay commented that the club is fortunate to appoint a person of Paul's playing, coaching and work background, and believes he can guide the young group toward consistent improvement.
Hill replaces Kaushal Silva, who relocated to Hong Kong cricket. The club thanked Ash, Emma, Vanchica and Sophie for maintaining the programme through the transition. Hill begins on Sunday, August 24.
