A brighter future for Dandenong Cricket Club and community

ยท Michael Findlay

With the launch of a first-of-its-kind green energy power station, Dandenong Cricket Club is set to generate real savings while giving back to the community.

The project adds a 25.94 kW solar system, 80 kWh of battery storage and smart-shift software to the club's existing setup, and is expected to reduce energy bills by about $8,500 over a full year.

It is a collaboration between the club, Amber Electric, WattlePowr, the Greater Dandenong City Council and Cricket for Climate, the player-led movement founded by Australian Test captain Pat Cummins to drive practical action on energy and sustainability.

The club thanks all of the partners and volunteers who helped bring the project to life, and looks forward to reinvesting the savings back into cricket at Shepley Oval.
